The Theater's purpose in the world of Fallout: Lonestar is to provide a place for the characters to relax and be a place of business for both legal and illegal elements. The Theater is based on The Plaza Theater in El Paso, Texas. The faux buildings on either side of the general seating were inspired by the real world theater space.
The Theater’s concession stand greets the theater goers as they enter. It contains a bar, several comfortable seats, and various types of alcohol. To make the dining space fit the Fallout universe I started with a regal look and added tears and stains to give it the appropriate decayed feel.
I designed the VIP entrance to be a grand unveiling. The player walks up a flight of steps to double doors that open to reveal a faux black sky and the theater behind the VIP section.
The VIP section contains a private bar, rooms to rent, and a lounge. Around the VIP Section are hidden stories; a room full of wine from a bender, a love note left by a stranger. I used these environmental stories to liven up otherwise empty rooms.
